Many clients ask what they can do between massage sessions to help maintain the progress we make during treatment. The truth is that what happens between appointments plays a big role in how the body feels and functions over time.

This page is a collection of tools and products that I personally use, recommend, or have seen clients successfully incorporate into their self-care routines. These items can help support the stretches, exercises, and home care suggestions we discuss after your session.

Not every product is right for every person, but these tools have helped many clients improve movement, reduce discomfort, and maintain the benefits of their massage sessions.

Self-Massage, Trigger Point & Rehabilitation Tools

Back and Neck Trigger Point Cane
This tool makes it much easier to apply pressure to tight muscles in the neck, shoulders, and back without needing assistance. The design allows you to reach difficult areas and apply steady pressure to release muscle knots.

Foam Roller Set
This foam roller set is great for self-massaging larger muscle groups with firm pressure while requiring less effort. The included tools allow you to work on different areas of the body depending on what feels tight.

Psoas Release Tool
This tool is helpful for targeting and releasing the hip flexor muscles, which can be difficult to access with traditional stretching or massage tools. Tight hip flexors often contribute to lower back discomfort and posture issues.

Electric Neck & Shoulder Massager
This electric massager can be helpful for general neck tension and headaches. The deep kneading pressure and heat help relax tight muscles. Use caution with extended use. I recommend folding a throw blanket and placing it between you and the massager if using it for longer periods.

Foot & Plantar Fasciitis Support

Massage Ball Set (Hot or Cold Therapy)
These massage balls can be rolled under the foot to help release tension in the plantar fascia and surrounding muscles. They can also be chilled or heated for additional relief.

Plantar Fasciitis Night Splint Sock
This brace helps hold the ankle and foot in a gentle stretch while you sleep. Keeping the toes slightly elevated overnight helps prevent the plantar fascia from tightening again, which can reduce morning pain.

Sleep & Neck Support

Contour Cervical Support Pillow
This pillow supports the neck and shoulders while allowing comfortable arm placement for multiple sleeping positions. I often recommend it because it helps many people reduce tossing and turning during the night.

Knee Pillow for Side Sleepers
This pillow helps keep the knees and hips properly aligned for side sleepers. Proper hip positioning can help reduce strain on the lower back and prevent nerve irritation.

Neck & Shoulder Relaxer / Cervical Traction Device
This device allows you to lie back and gently stretch the muscles of the neck, jaw, and upper shoulders. Passive stretching can help reduce tension and improve mobility in the cervical spine.

Posture & Workstation Support

Standing Desk Converter
This adjustable desk platform allows you to alternate between sitting and standing throughout the day so you are not stuck in the same position for hours at a time. The design keeps the monitor elevated while allowing the keyboard to remain at a proper ergonomic height.

Ergonomic Office Chair
This chair allows adjustments for height, recline, and support for both the cervical and lumbar spine. These features can help support better posture when working at a computer for extended periods.

Wireless Keyboard & Mouse (for Laptop Users)
Working directly on a laptop often forces the neck into a forward position. Elevating the laptop screen and using a wireless keyboard and mouse on a lower surface can help prevent “computer neck.”

Strength & Movement Support

Adjustable Hand Weights
I sometimes recommend small hand weights to add resistance to specific exercises I suggest for clients. This adjustable set allows you to start light and gradually increase weight as strength improves.

Light Resistance Bands (Physical Therapy Exercises)
These resistance bands are excellent for performing physical therapy or mobility exercises at home. They provide gentle resistance that helps rebuild strength while protecting the joints.

TENS Unit
This is a simple TENS unit for home use. If your physical therapist uses one during treatment, you can often use similar pad placement at home unless otherwise discussed during your session.

Back Stretching Device
This device gently stretches the lower back and can help relieve tension in the lumbar spine. It requires very little effort to use but can be quite effective. If soreness occurs afterward, applying ice is recommended.

Heavy Resistance Bands (Strength Training)
These higher-resistance bands are better suited for clients who are working toward building strength, muscle tone, and more advanced training rather than basic rehabilitation.
